Senior Planner

Your new companyOur client is a large privately-owned main contractor with a very strong presence in the key construction markets across the Central Belt and beyond. With an exceptional reputation across their key client sectors, they have a busy pipeline of work ahead of them. They are now seeking to strengthen and develop their planning team with the appointment of a Senior Planner to their business.Your new roleAs Senior Planner, you will oversee the planning process with a strong focus on the front-end elements of construction. You will provide planning support to all bids, ensuring they reflect best practice and are aligned with company policies regarding risk management, health and safety and commercial requirements. Working with key stakeholders such as the commercial team, external supply chain and senior operations, you will be a fundamental part of a critical element of the success of the business going forward. Typical market sectors include education, community along with some privately funded projects. What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have significant planning experience within a well-respected main contractor and perhaps be looking to develop their career towards a more strategic and work-winning direction. You will have an excellent understanding of design, procurement and commercial processes and how they complement each other in successful bids and project delivery.
