Groundworker
Working across Scottish Power Framework.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our civils team. The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure installation and civil engineering works, including fencing and access control systems. This role involvesworking on critical infrastructure projects, often on HV electrical sites.

Essential Competencies:

  • Valid CSCS card and relevant plant operation tickets (e.g. excavator, dumper, roller, banksman, slinger/signaller, abrasive wheels, face fit)
  • Proven experience in groundwork and civils engineering
  • Knowledge of fencing types and electrical fencing systems
  • Clean driving licence
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Health & Safety compliance
  • Experience interpreting RAMS and site drawings

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Groundwork, trenching, precasting concrete, and site preparation
  • Operating site plant equipment (e.g. telehandler, dumper, mini excavator)
  • Supervising work squads and reporting defects or safety issues
  • Liaising with Site Manager, Supervisor, and clients
  • Ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, and company procedures
  • Maintaining company standards in all site activities
