CNC Machinist, Permanent Role, Glasgow


Salary:

  • Day Shift: £19.50 – £19.70 per hour (Monday to Friday)
  • Night Shift: £25.35 – £25.61 per hour (8:45pm – 7:00am)
  • Overtime and shift premiums available

Working Hours:

  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, with flexible 4-day and 5-day working patterns (to be agreed)
  • Night Shift: Rotational nightshift included

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machines and be comfortable working across both day and night shifts.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality components from customer drawings, adhering to specified cycle times, and maintaining a high standard of production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture right-first-time components in line with customer drawings and required cycle times
  • Ensure production remains cost-effective and efficient
  • Continuously seek improvements to production and manufacturing methods
  • Liaise effectively with team members and other departments
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety and Environmental standards

Essential Experience & Qualities:

  • Proven experience operating Fanuc-controlled machinery
  • Skilled in working with 5-axis, vertical, and horizontal milling machines
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Competent with basic PC skills
