CNC Turner, 35,000 to 40,000, Glasgow, Permanent, Monday to Friday Dayshift

Aspirare are currently working with a leading engineering firm to recruit an experiencedCNC Turnerfor a full-time permanent opportunity based in the south side of Glasgow. This role is ideal for a time-served or semi-skilled machinist with strong experience in turning operations and a background in precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture high-precision components from technical drawings, ensuring right-first-time output
  • Work efficiently to meet production cycle times and maintain high quality standards
  • Contribute to process improvement and cost-effective manufacturing methods
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments
  • Follow all company Health & Safety and Environmental policies
  • Flexible 4-day and 5-day working patterns available. Occasional rotational nightshift may be required (25 p.h nightshift rate)

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in engineering or equivalent industry experience as a Turner
  • Proficiency inFanuc controlsacross a range of machinery, including lathes, vertical borers, mill-turns, and 5-axis lathes
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high production standards
  • Knowledge ofSPCand lean manufacturing practices
  • Confident using PCs and basic software relevant to production environments
