About the Role

Apex Resources Limited are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes using Fanuc controls, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and program CNC lathes with Fanuc controls

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Select tooling, offsets, and cutting parameters

  • Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment

  • Ensure components meet quality and tolerance requirements

  • Perform minor program edits and fault finding

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner

  • Strong experience with CNC lathes

  • Fanuc control experience beneficial

  • Ability to read technical and engineering drawings

  • Confident using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience with multi-axis or live tooling

  • Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification

  • Experience in high-precision or batch production environments
