About the Role

Apex Resources are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in injection moulding to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment and wants to be part of a forward-thinking, quality-driven company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective maintenance, fault finding, and repair support across all production and ancillary equipment.

  • Carry out both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.

  • Work with injection moulding machinery, robotics, and associated automation systems.

  • Support tool changes, setup, and optimisation of injection moulding processes where required.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Time-served, qualified engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within injection moulding.

  • Strong fault-finding skills on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of PLCs and control systems (advantageous but not essential).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
