Connect Appointments are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy, forward-thinking manufacturing business in East Kilbride.

What's on offer:

  • Temporary role to start, moving to permanent after 12 weeks
  • 14 per hour during temp period, rising to 15 after 12 weeks
  • Working Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 5pm (finish at 3pm on Thursdays)

Within this Press Brake Operator role, you will use a press brake machine to bend, fold, and shape sheet metal and other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring precision and quality. With your day-to-day tasks including:

  • Setting up and operating press brake machines
  • Ensuring manufactured parts are produced to customer standards
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Helping with new product development
  • Maintaining machines with daily, weekly, and monthly checks
  • Selecting the correct tooling for each job and checking quality
  • Keeping your work area and machines clean and safe

To be successful in this Press Brake Operator role, you will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and operating the machine. Other key skills and traits include:

  • IT literate with excellent communication skills
