Electrical supervisor needed for a large facilities management organisation based in East Kilbride who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Supervisor that takes pride in their work with in-depth electrical Testing & Inspecting knowledge. The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification- i.e. city & guilds, 18th edition and a 2391 ticket etc. and have a keen interest in progressing in their career. If you have a Higher national Diploma / Certificate it would also be seen as a plus.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electrical Supervisor will include:

  • Report directly to the Technical Services Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the electrical testing and inspection contract for the Northern region, including development of the contract
  • Operate and maintain the plant at the sites identified above in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement
  • Supervise and carry out scheduled Electrical testing and Inspection maintenance tasks including but not limited to Emergency Lighting, ECIR, Illumination Levels, Infra-Red, Motors, PAT, Static Discharge, Lightening Protection. To carry out repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice
  • Ensure that all works under his/her control are effectively carried out to ensure that any third-party contractors who carry out work on the site do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company procedures and site-specific procedures where applicable
  • Ensure that works are conducted in line with Company Safe Systems of Work and the site Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place
  • Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and in line with company competency appointment(s)

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Supervisor:

  • Skills including the use of: Motors, switch gear, control panels, general electrical maintenance duties, pat resting, emergency lighting
  • ONC/C&G or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline
  • C&G 2391, or equivalent Testing & Inspection
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
  • CMMS (SAM FM) (Desirable)
  • HND/HNC Electrical Qualification (Desirable)
  • Valid Driving License
