Lead Cable Hand – Glasgow (UK travel) Permanent | £55k total package (basic + regular overtime + travel time)

We’re working with a well-established, 100% employee-owned, Tier 1 high-voltage contractor that’s busy and growing fast. They need a solid, hands-on Lead Cable Hand to run cabling squads on big substation, renewable and grid projects (11 kV – 132 kV).

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Reading drawings, setting work out, ordering kit
  • Morning briefings and toolbox talks
  • Keeping the site safe and the job running smoothly
  • Flagging extras and variations early
  • Being the main cabling point of contact on site

What you need

  • At least 3 years proper cable installation experience (different voltages and methods)
  • Already leading squads or clearly ready to – they’ll look seriously at strong technical guys who haven’t had the title yet
  • 2–3 years in contracting or DNO/IDO world
  • Full UK driving licence and happy to travel/stay away when needed
  • Right to work in the UK

SSSTS is a bonus – they’ll put you through it if you don’t have it.
