About the Role:We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager with a strong civil engineering background to support a major Overhead Line (OHL) infrastructure project in the Central Belt of Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact energy project on a contract basis, with a minimum 6-month duration and potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and quality control documentation.
- Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects, ideally within the power or utilities sector.
- Prior involvement in Overhead Line (OHL) or similar infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Minimum 6 months, with potential for extension.
- Rate: £400/day (paid via CIS).
- Location: Central Belt, Scotland (site-based role).
- Start Date: ASAP
