Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are currently working with one of our leading clients who is looking to appoint an experienced and driven Design Manager on a contract basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days per week required in the client's Glasgow office.

Our client is a global engineering design and build consultancy, known for delivering sustainable and innovative solutions.

You will be joining an expert team working specifically on an exciting national grid project, focusing on all aspects of substation upgrades and extensions, whilst shaping the future for the national grid network!

Key Responsibilities of your role:

-You will play a key role in supporting the preparation of project proposals, by leading presentations and contract negotiations. Then supporting such project from concept to completion.

-Be responsible for reporting regularly on the projects progress - including costs, procurement issues, potential impacts, and design questions etc.

-Support the current relationships with clients, project stake holders, regulatory bodies and subcontractors.

What we are looking for:

-Proven experience in a design management role on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects in the UK - with a strong understanding of National Grid’s procedures.

-Clear understanding of UK health and safety legislations.

-Confident using digital design tools such as BIM, Revit, or Navisworks.

-Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.

-Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable.
