- Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons aligned to current industry standards.
- Develop high-quality teaching and assessment resources tailored to Construction Roadworks and Groundworks disciplines.
- Personalise learning based on initial assessments and learner needs.
- Provide regular feedback to drive learner improvement.
- Track learner progress using the Learner Management System.
- Liaise closely with Apprenticeship Development Coaches and employers on learner progress.
- Support workplace development where necessary.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and a positive learning environment.
- Stay updated with industry standards through professional development.
- Minimum Level 2 vocational qualification (or equivalent) in Construction or a related field.
- Substantial hands-on experience in Construction Roadworks, Groundworking, or related occupations, including drainage, concrete laying, tarmac, kerbs, monoblocking, paving, and slabbing.
- Excellent knowledge of current industry practices.
- Previous experience in Training, Teaching, Learning and Assessment would be highly desirable.
- Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within one year).
- Assessor Awards (or willingness to achieve within one year).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills (Microsoft Office 365 proficiency).
- Educated to Level 2 or above in English and maths.
- Higher-level construction-related qualification.
- Level 5 teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering apprenticeships or SVQs.
- Able to work non-standard hours as required
- Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays
- Full driving licence required
- Enhanced DBS check required
