My client, a specialist, innovative multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a CAD Designer to be based in the exciting Scottish city of Glasgow.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in the UK water industry, working as a CAD Technician.
  • Professional proficiency in various software packages, including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and AutoCAD Civils 3D
  • Good working knowledge of water infrastructure-related civil detailing practices
  • Confident in interpreting and applying engineer mark-ups and specifications
  • Good comprehension of multidisciplinary model coordination and BIM workflows

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of CAD Designer to have the following skills:

  • Ability to produce high-quality design outputs
  • Excellent communication skills, and the willingness to work collaboratively with other individuals and teams
  • Organised, adaptable, and flexible approach to handling multiple projects, adhering to challenging deadlines

In the role of CAD Designer, you will be joining a highly successful team of design specialists, with the opportunity to grow and refine your career prospects within the UK water sector. Some of your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of 2D and 3D drawings and design models within water and wastewater treatment projects
  • Producing general arrangements, RC details, site plans, and more, using software packages including Revit and Civils 3D
  • Working across the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) landscape, coordinating with other engineers and designers to design and develop models
  • Reviewing models, QA/QC, and drawing package assembly for construction and tender submissions
  • Updating and maintaining revision records and drawing registers to comply with project requirements
