Your new company
Our client is a wellestablished design consultancy with 30+ years of experience in buildingservices, Energy, Sustainability, Lift & IT fields based out of Glasgow'scity centre.
Their team of expertscover all tradition Building Services elements, enhanced by their skillset inthe Energy and Sustainability with BREEAM.
The vast majority oftheir projects are intricate, complex and unique MOD and defence contracts,requiring high standards of work across the board.

Due to the nature oftheir work, all candidates will need to hold, or meet the criteria to holdSecurity Clearance to MOD SC level.


Your new role

  • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .
  • Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
  • Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Dialux, Amtech, excell, etc.
  • Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
  • Report and technical note writing.
  • Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
  • Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and building codes.
  • Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
