We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring both strategic ER expertise and hands-on operational delivery across a range of complex cases and people-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, and absence cases.
  • Provide expert advice on TUPE, mergers & acquisitions, organisational change, and restructures from an ER perspective.
  • Support and deliver ER workstreams across wider HR projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy and employment legislation.
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR colleagues to manage risk, resolve issues, and promote best practice in people management.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation, case summaries, reports, and recommendations.
  • Identify ER trends, risks, and opportunities, offering proactive solutions to improve processes and employee outcomes.

About You:

  • Strong experience in an ER-focused role, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry.
  • Proven background managing complex ER cases and providing expert guidance at pace.
  • Solid understanding of TUPE, M&A activity, organisational change, and employment law.
  • Able to operate both strategically and operationally, with excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Proactive, resilient, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
