  • Work as part of a team of plant fitters, either individually or in small groups.
  • Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Tagging and registering of new equipment.
  • Support various business units across Scotland.
  • Initial role may be as a store person/driver, depending on experience.
  • Carry out efficient stock control ensuring the warehouse has sufficient spare parts and equipment.
  • Some travel and overnight stays away from base location may be required.

What you will need

  • Ideally you will have experience of mechanical maintenance and will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent although training will be provided where necessary.
  • You will be able to demonstrate competence in the use of workshop equipment; ability to work within SGN safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HS&E and Company legislation.  You will also have a working knowledge of regulations associated with the disposal of waste.
  • You will have the ability to understand and work to instruction and be able to plan and organise resources in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently.
  • Experience of working in a team environment would be beneficial
  • You will have good leadership qualities together with excellent inter-personal skills
  • A full driving licence is required
