Job Title: Civils General Foreman - Scotland
Package: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading civil engineering contractor operating within Scotland and Northern England. Due to company success they are looking for a General Foreman experienced in heavy civils to work on high profile projects. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who's comfortable working away from home when needed (full subsistence provided), and who thrives in a fast-paced site environment.
Responsibilities:
·Supervise site operations and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification
·Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials
·Maintain daily records and site diaries
·Lead toolbox talks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
·Work closely with engineers and site management to solve technical and logistical issues
·Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project drawings and specs
·Support the delivery of works in line with budget and programme targets
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a General Foreman on heavy civils projects
·SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS
·First Aid at Work
·Temporary Works Supervisor is preferred but not essential
·Strong working knowledge of highways construction, earthworks & deep drainage, and reinforced concrete structures
·Excellent communication and leadership skills
·Willingness to travel across sites in Scotland as required
·Full UK Driving Licence
Package:
·£40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
·Car allowance + mileage
·Accommodation & subsistence covered when working away
·Long-term work on Scotland's key infrastructure projects
·Excellent progression opportunities within a leading civil engineering business
