Multi Skilled Operator – Energy from Waste

£33,640 including shift allowance, plus benefits

MC Technical Recruitment is currently supporting the search for a Multi Skilled Operator / Site Operator to join the team at a state-of-the-art Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in Glasgow. This site plays a critical role in reducing landfill waste and generating low-carbon energy, supporting the UK’s climate goals.

 

As a Multi Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating the weighbridge and maintaining accurate records
  • Driving forklift trucks across site operations
  • Controlling the RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) crane to feed the plant
  • Housekeeping and cleaning activities
  • Clearing blockages and assisting with routine operational support
  • Adhering to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures
  • Other duties as required

 

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A valid Forklift Truck licence (And/or Shovel licence)
  • Previous experience in a production or heavy industrial environment
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Confidence using computer systems (Microsoft)
