This is a brilliant opportunity to join my client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water Sector. They are currently on the lookout for a keen, skilled Associate EICA Engineer, with demonstrable knowledge of wastewater and non-infrastructure design, who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of an array of challenging projects. You will be responsible for establishing, growing, and overseeing a new team of driven design experts, based near the artsy, diverse city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Associate EICA Engineer include:

- Managing complex electrical design deliverables, including single-line diagrams, distribution layouts, projection and coordination, earthing/grounding, etc.

- Taking responsibility for the specifications of electrical equipment for a diverse array of projects, including switchgears, transformers, distribution boards, etc.

- Generating designs for control and instrumentation interfaces, to include SCADA, PLCs, field instrumentation, and power supply

- Undertaking calculations, analyses, and coordination studies, as well as other technical work, including checking, amending, and submitting colleagues' work

- Overseeing professional relationships with clientele and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors, ensuring the successful delivery of projects to the highest of standards

- Leading on all stages of projects, from initial commissioning, testing, site supervision, delivery, and handover

- Ensuring all colleagues' continuing compliance with the required standards, regulations, procedures, and legislation

- Overseeing a team of colleagues, as well as a diverse range of projects

Required skills and experience for the role of Associate EICA Engineer include:

- A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering (or a cognate discipline)

- Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., IET)

- Extensive experience of working in an electrical engineering role, within infrastructure or the industrial sector

- Demonstrable experience in power distribution, electrical design, and control and instrumentation

- Outstanding working knowledge of the relevant industry standards and regulations, including IEC, BS, and NEC

- Highly proficient in preparing drawings, schematics, and other technical documents

- Excellent working knowledge of a range of design and analysis software systems and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, Dialux, etc.

- Demonstrable understanding of LV/MV electrical systems and utility interface requirements

- Good problem solving skills, with a highly-technical mindset

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

- Considerable experience of managing people, projects, and stakeholder relations

- Possess a full, valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Associate EICA Engineer include:

- A UK Higher Degree in a cognate discipline

- Experience within the UK Water Sector, particularly with wastewater and/or utilities

- Good working knowledge of instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, and automation systems

- Prior experience of working on construction sites (or similar)

- Some experience with power quality, harmonic analysis, and energy efficiency

- Experience of setting up protective relays, coordination, and testing procedures

- Experience of winning a variety of projects, and therefore overseeing Business Development (BD) opportunities
