This role offers the opportunity to lead planning and scheduling activities at the heart of critical defence projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile work within a complex engineering environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as SME for planning/scheduling processes within Combat Systems
  • Lead and govern planning toolset usage (e.g., Primavera P6, MSP)
  • Coach and support stakeholders across all grades
  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement across project lifecycles
  • Deputise for the Planning & Project Controls Manager where needed
  • Provide expert-level reporting, risk management, and scheduling oversight
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven expertise in planning/scheduling within complex project environments (Primavera P6)
  • Skilled in PM governance (e.g., IBRs), project tools, and stakeholder management
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent experience, with a PM qualification (APM or similar)
  • Able to influence across business boundaries and lead small teams if required
