We are currently seeking an experienced and fully authorised SAP (Senior Authorised Person) - 33kV to join a leading contractor on a high-profile project in Scotland.

Key Requirements:

  • SSEN and/or SPEN Authorisations (MANDATORY)

  • Proven experience working on 33kV systems

  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks and switching operations

  • Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures

  • Previous DNO or ICP experience highly desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on 33kV networks

  • Prepare and issue safety documents (e.g., Permits to Work, Isolation/Restoration documents)

  • Oversee switching, isolation, and energisation of HV equipment

  • Ensure safe systems of work and liaise with client representatives (SSEN/SPEN)

  • Supervise and support field teams on site

Additional Information:

  • Contract duration: 3 months, with a strong chance of extension based on project scope

  • Must be flexible with travel across Scotland

  • Must hold valid authorisation tickets and up-to-date certification
