They specialise in delivering high-performance products that ensure safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. They are looking for  dynamic Offshore Sales Chemicals Executives to join their team in Glasgow, driving growth and building strong client relationships in the offshore sector.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for promoting and selling chemical products to offshore clients, including drilling contractors, service companies, and operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in chemical engineering combined with sales experience in the oil and gas industry. This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and providing technical support to ensure client satisfaction and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Actively seek new clients and opportunities to grow market share in the offshore chemicals sector.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  3. Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the company’s presence in the offshore chemicals market.
  4. Technical Support and Expertise: Provide technical guidance on product selection, application methods, and safety procedures to clients and internal teams.
  5. Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients, showcasing product benefits and applications.
  6. Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to identify new opportunities and challenges. Prepare and present detailed sales reports to management.
  7. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the R&D, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  8. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in offshore chemical sales or technical support within the oil and gas industry.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of drilling fluids, production chemicals, and well abandonment products.
  4. Proven sales experience with a track record of achieving revenue targets and expanding market share.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to clients.
  6. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership.
  8. Willingness to travel offshore and to client sites as required.
  9. Valid Offshore Certifications (e.g., BOSIET, MIST) are an advantage but not mandatory.
