Anderson Knight is pleased to be partnering with our client, a well-established and forward-thinking organisation based in East Renfrewshire, in their search for an HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team.

As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support across a variety of functions, ensuring that both employee needs and business goals are effectively met. Your responsibilities will range from offering guidance on employee relations and HR policies, to assisting with recruitment and managing key HR projects. You will also oversee essential HR administration and help shape a positive and inclusive company culture.

This role is based in the office full time full time, 40hrs per week, with ocassional travel required (drivers licence required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the People Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and helping to position the company as an employer of choice.

  • Contribute to culture-building initiatives, ensuring company values are consistently upheld across the organisation, and participate in projects such as the Wellbeing Hub to enhance employee experience.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing accurate and timely responses regarding policies, benefits, and payroll.

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring smooth integration into the business with all necessary materials and induction sessions.

  • Manage offboarding processes, ensuring that required paperwork is completed and exit data is captured accurately.

  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of data, as well as handling employee benefit enrolments and changes.

  • Maintain and update employee records within the HRM system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Generate HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and absence data, to support business planning and decision-making.

  • Ensure proper filing of employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and supporting audits where necessary.

  • Support the HR team in the implementation of key policies such as absence management, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.

  • Assist with the creation and revision of company policies, templates, and user guides to drive efficiency and improve the overall employee experience.

  • Provide support for recruitment, from job descriptions and advertising to candidate screening and interview coordination.

  • Help manage internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and HR-related updates.

  • Contribute to the development and management of employee reward programmes and benefits schemes that reflect the company’s values and business objectives.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing and enhancing HR policies and processes to ensure they reflect best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role with a strong understanding of employee relations and HR best practices.

  • Experience handling sensitive HR matters such as conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and influence at all levels.

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and HR reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with employment law and the ability to apply it effectively within the business.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
