Overview:

Ramage Young are looking to bring on their next Digital Support Apprentice to support with their growing workload. In this role, you will provide essential support, ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, proficiency in computerised systems, and a friendly phone etiquette to assist both clients and colleagues effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • First responder for customers in person and from incoming calls. This will involve handling queries, meeting clients and triaging calls to relevant team member.
  • Become a superuser on our Project Cost Management (PCM) system to ensure smooth business operations by uploading and managing project records, inputting staff timesheets and expenses.
  • Ensure that the resident internal filing system is maintained in a systematic manner by processing current filing, archiving and related activities.
  • Formatting proposals and reports on Microsoft Excel and Word to Ramage Young’s standards and templates before uploading to PCM and internal filing systems.
  • Assist with inventory management of office supplies and equipment and ordering supplies online if necessary.
  • Collaborating with directors to organise travel, accommodation, key logs and company car management.
  • Ensure supplier insurances and all relevant documentation is correct and current.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate and timely records of SER (Structural Engineers Registration) information.

Desirable skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Willingness to take instructions from others and learn.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Take own initiative.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • National 5 English (preferred).

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9:30am - 6pm, Friday 8:30am - 5pm.

Salary: £15,300 per annum.
