Service Desk Coordinator - Temporary Contract

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Service Desk Coordinator to join our clients Service Desk Operations team in Glasgow on a temporary contract until October 2026. You'll coordinate engineers' workloads, help deliver excellent customer service, and ensure targets are met.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking, and working in a busy fast-paced service environment.

This position is office-based and operates on a 4 on / 4 off rolling shift pattern, providing a varied and dynamic work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and coordinate the engineering team's workload to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Assist in achieving and maintaining customer KPIs and SLAs.
  • Promote a positive customer experience, resolving queries and complaints professionally.
  • Work with engineers and maintenance staff to manage day-to-day operations, schedules, and rotas.
  • Coordinate procurement and scheduling of parts and spares.
  • Liaise with the Systems team to ensure consistency and accuracy in service management processes.
  • Contribute to team training, coaching, and coverage during absences.
  • Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives within the Service Desk.
  • Ensure compliance with company Quality Management and Health & Safety policies.

  • Experience in a coordination, scheduling, or service desk role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Calm and adaptable under pressure, with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and service management systems.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
