PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented internal Claims Adjuster to join our clients Global Markets team.
As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in processing and settling complex claims related to aviation, energy, marine, and liability within the global market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and assess various types of claims including aviation (cargo and hull), energy (offshore), casualty, marine (cargo and hull), and liability claims
- Communicate with clients, brokers, and underwriters to gather necessary information and documentation for claims processing
- Analyse policy coverage and applicable laws to determine the validity of claims
- Conduct thorough investigations and collaborate with other departments to resolve and settle claims in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate claim files and documentation while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the claims process
QUALIFICATIONS
- CII, or working towards preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in handling complex claims within the aviation, energy, marine, and liability fields preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Familiarity with insurance policies, regulations, and legal considerations
DAY-TO-DAY
- Reviewing and prioritising incoming claims
- Analysing claim documentation and supporting evidence
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiating claim settlements
- Maintaining accurate claim records and databases
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and regulations
