JOB: Quality EngineerLOCATION - Glasgow (Hybrid)SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 DOEI'm currently working with a well-established organisation operating within the engineering sector, recognised for delivering high-quality, technically complex projects across a range of industries. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, the company provides a dynamic, quality-driven working environment where innovation and accountability are encouraged.They are on the look out for an experienced Quality Engineer to join the Assurance Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that products and processes meet both internal and customer quality expectations. You will be responsible for supporting supplier quality management, conducting inspections, and contributing to the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies across various projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans in line with customer specifications.
  • Evaluate and audit supplier processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensure effective resolution.
  • Support internal and external audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and client requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in quality control and assurance within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers, including performance evaluation and audit preparation..
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher preferred).
