Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineers to work with a variety of our clients based across Central Scotland. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards while providing excellent customer service and leadership within the team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics.
- Conduct mechanical repairs, including welding as necessary.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics and work with logic controllers.
- Experience in supervising teams, showcasing leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with team members and customers.
- A background in customer service is advantageous, ensuring a focus on client satisfaction.
