Operations Planner, East Kilbride, £35,000 - £37,000 DOE + Bonus

We're currently recruiting for an Operations Planner to join a manufacturing business based in East Kilbride. This is a key role that supports the wider operations function, helping to create achievable schedules, manage materials effectively, and ensure production targets are met across the site.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing planning, be confident using MRP/ERP systems, and be comfortable working closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to keep things running smoothly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating, updating and maintaining the production schedule
  • Developing materials and capacity plans to ensure availability and alignment with production goals
  • Monitoring and adjusting plans to respond to changes, risks or delays
  • Running regular production reviews and collaborating with internal teams to stay ahead of issues
  • Streamlining planning processes to improve efficiency and workflow
  • Working closely with sales, procurement, and production to maintain alignment across departments
  • Generating reports on schedule performance, risks, and key deliverables

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a manufacturing planning or scheduling role
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production workflows
  • Familiarity with bills of material and routings (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-focused and confident working independently
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage changing priorities

What you can expect:

  • £35,000 - £37,000 salary depending on experience
  • 4 day working week - Monday to Thursday, 37.5 hours
