A1 Jobs have an immediate need for a Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor to join our clients thriving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a skilled team of welders and machine operators.
- Operate and specialise inconventional horizontal boring(e.g. SH75 Kerns Richard).
- Use a variety of machine tools:lathe, milling machine, drill, etc.
- Interpretmechanical drawingsand work to preciseengineering tolerances.
- Carry outself-inspectionthroughout the manufacturing process.
- Promotesafe working practicesand maintain clean, organised work areas.
- Contribute tocontinuous improvementand help implementstandard procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as amachine operatorwithsupervisory responsibilities.
- Skilled inhorizontal boringand confident in reading technical drawings.
- Positive, team-focused attitude, promoting collaboration and quality.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and performance.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience operating aKerns Richard SH75or similar boring machine.
- Validcounterbalance forklift licence.
- Experience usingoverhead cranesfor loading/unloading.
- Familiar withmachine shop safety standardsand procedures.
