Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:
  • Assemble products in compliance with customer specifications, following established quality control standards to ensure consistent and accurate output.
  • Interpret technical documentation such as work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials to carry out precise assembly tasks in line with best engineering practices.
  • Raise quality concerns and report kit shortages directly to the Mechanical Team Lead to maintain workflow and product integrity.
  • Verify incoming materials against drawing and specification requirements before initiating assembly operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times, adhering strictly to company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting efficiency, quality, and workplace development.
Mechanical Fitter Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar hands-on role within a mechanical engineering environment, or a strong interest in developing new skills in precision assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately to ensure high-quality component assembly.
  • Practical experience in manual operations such as drilling, reaming, and tapping (preferred).
  • Familiarity with deburring techniques and surface finishing processes (desirable).
  • Proven background in a regulated industry, such as aerospace, where adherence to strict standards and traceability is essential.
