A global defense leader in Glasgow is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker with a salary of £37,318 for day shifts and £49,632 for back, night, and weekend shifts.
The position offers a competitive pension plan and an enhanced annual leave allowance, with various shift patterns available.
Candidates must have a Modern Apprenticeship certificate and a clear understanding of SHE and COSHH risks, along with safety certifications.
Experience in a major construction or manufacturing environment is essential, as well as comfort working in confined spaces or at height.
The selection process will occur in April, with the role expected to start in June 2025.

Sheet Metal Worker - £37,318 day shift - £ 49,632 Back/Night/Weekend Shifts - located in Glasgow. Benefits include a competitive pension plan and an enhanced annual leave allowance.

Shift Patterns:

Mon - Thurs

Day Shift: 07:00 - 16:30

Back Shift: 14:00 - 23:30

Night Shift 20:30 - 06:00

Fri - Sun

Weekend: 07:00 - 19:30

Overtime Rates:

Mon - Thurs: Time and a third
Friday: Time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time from then on
Saturday: Time and a half
Sunday: Double time

Essential Experience:

Modern Apprenticeship certificate also known as Trade Papers (you will be required to provide papers)
Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH risks awareness and manufacturing processes
Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etc
Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment
