Our client are a main contractor who have a strong pipeline of affordable housing developments across Scotland. Based in Glasgow, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their sizeable team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in main contracting and/ or affordable housing projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs, preparing tender documents, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts.
- Conduct cost analysis and risk management.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting.
- Manage procurement processes and negotiate with suppliers.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within main contracting and/or affordable housing sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technologies.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred.
- Membership with RICS or similar professional body is a plus.
