Position: Quantity Surveyor  About the Client:  Our client is a well-established and highly regarded fit-out specialist within the construction industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects in the food and drinks sector. They are now looking to expand their team with a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to work out of their Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and contribute to the successful delivery of key fit-out projects.  Role Overview:  As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of fit-out projects within the food & drinks sector. This role requires a strong level of competency, reliability, and attention to detail. Ideally, candidates will have a background in fit-out projects, though experience in related sectors will also be considered.  Key Responsibilities:

Manage and control costs for fit-out projects in the food and drink sector.

Assist in preparing budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.

Work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Review and evaluate contractor tenders, assisting with the negotiation and preparation of contracts.

Maintain and foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Monitor and report on project performance, identifying and mitigating any potential risks.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background in fit-out projects.

Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

Previous experience in the food & drink sector is advantageous but not essential.

Reliable, proactive, and capable of managing your workload independently.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

A relevant qualification (e.g., RICS) would be beneficial but not essential.
