Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the Company
Our client is a well-established sports construction contractor with over 20 years’ experience delivering synthetic pitches, athletics tracks, multi-use games areas, and associated civil engineering schemes. Now part of a major European sports surface group, they are expanding and strengthening their commercial team.
The Opportunity
They are looking for an energetic and proactive Quantity Surveyor to take on a varied commercial role. This position is ideal for someone with a civils/groundworks background who has experience working in smaller, hands-on environments. You’ll be involved across the full commercial process—from tendering and estimating through to valuations, contract management and final accounts.
The tender workload can be fast-paced and reactive, so they’re seeking someone who enjoys a busy environment and can help drive tenders forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage tenders, estimates and quotations
- Oversee commercial duties from tender award to final account
- Conduct monthly valuations, cost reporting and contract reviews with the Finance Manager
- Source and appoint subcontractors
- Support high-volume tender periods (notably Feb–March)
- Build strong relationships with clients and identify new opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- HND/HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field
- Strong civils/groundworks background
- Experience across both QS and estimating functions
- Confident working independently and taking commercial ownership
- Energetic, positive and motivated—someone who wants to be part of a growing business
- Strong communication, commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
