FLT COUNTERBALANCE DRIVER / WAREHOUSE OPERATOR

£12.21 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operator to join our client based in East Kilbride.
This is a dual role combining operating a Counterbalance forklift with manual warehouse duties, including heavy lifting and order picking, for a leading Renewable Energy Parts Distributor.

Day to Day Duties
- Working in a small but busy warehouse environment
- Picking and making up customer orders — this is the main focus of the role
- Heavy lifting and manual handling of large products including solar panels and renewable energy equipment
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, mainly for unloading deliveries and loading outgoing orders
- Carrying out pre and post-use safety checks on the forklift
- Packing orders carefully and efficiently
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Supporting general warehouse tasks as required
Essential Skills
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Experience operating a Counterbalance forklift
- Physically fit and confident with heavy manual handling
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Positive, can-do attitude and good team player
Desirable Experience
- Previous warehouse or order-picking experience
- Own transport due to site location
Training
- Full Health & Safety and on-site training provided
