Permanent Planner Opportunity – Civil Engineering Projects
Our client, a well-respected civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a permanent Planner based in Glashow to play a key role in the delivery of high-profile projects  across Scotland This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a meaningful contribution in providing provide complex civil engineering solutions, including infrastructure and energy projects.
Their diverse portfolio spans critical national infrastructure projects in Scotland.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project schedules from inception to completion, incorporating all necessary activities, tasks, and milestones.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential bottlenecks or delays in project timelines.
- Utilise project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project) to create, update, and monitor project schedules.
- Prepare progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, accomplishments, and areas of concern.
- Analyse resource allocation and utilisation to optimise efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources as per project requirements.
- Monitor and track project progress against baseline schedules, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to identify potential risks.
