Robert Half are working with an exciting business in the housing sector, based in Glasgow, to recruit a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis (C.3 months). Our client is looking for an all-rounded Accounts Assistant who can roll their sleeves up and hit the ground running. Hybrid working, ideally in the office 4 days per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Banking and posting payments to owners account
- Updating cashbook
- Completing bank reconciliation
- Process telephone payments
- Posting and updating of records of deposits received, deposits refunded and common charges refunded
- Reconciliation of customers' accounts once they move out
- Refunding deposits and common charges for customers who move out
- Chasing up standing order, float and contact details
- Ensure timely issuing of quarterly invoices to factored owners and monthly to commercial tenants and mid-market rent tenants
- Ensure all debt actions raised are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and best practise
- Making arrears phone calls
- Sales of properties and change of ownership and cease to factors
- Liaising with solicitors and relevant departments
- Dealing with customers' enquiries
Must have:
- Immediately Available
- Experience in a similarly well-rounded finance role
- Ideally good excel
- Pro-active attitude
- Positive mind-set
- Team player
