The Role
As part of a wider transformation and growth journey, the business is looking to appoint a Finance Assistant into their established team in Glasgow. This is a full-time, permanent role offering varied day-to-day responsibility, exposure to international operations, and the opportunity to contribute to ongoing process improvements.
The role will suit someone who enjoys hands-on transactional finance work, is confident working with systems, and is keen to develop within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full accounts payable and receivable cycle
- Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
- Processing staff expenses and assisting with monthly reporting
- Uploading and maintaining data within the accounting system (Sage Intacct)
- Supporting the month-end close and ad hoc finance tasks
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accurate reporting
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll bring:
- At least 18 months’ experience in a finance support role
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- A proactive mindset and attention to detail
- Familiarity with accounting systems (Sage Intacct experience is a bonus)
- An interest in developing your career within finance
- Studying AAT or planning to pursue a qualification such as ACCA (beneficial but not essential)
