Site Agent – Water Sector Projects – Central Scotland
Location: Central Scotland

Our client, a prominent global engineering firm known for its excellence in designing and delivering water sector projects, is expanding its team in Scotland. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to support a growing portfolio of water infrastructure projects across Central Scotland.

About the Role:

With a strong reputation in the water and energy sectors, the company has secured several new project wins and continues to grow rapidly. Their portfolio includes large-scale civil engineering works and specialist infrastructure projects throughout Scotland.

 The ideal candidate will have direct experience in water and energy sectors and must be keen to join a dynamic and supportive team driving innovation and sustainability in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, supervising operatives and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure strict compliance with HSEQ policies.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to the site team.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage site logistics to optimise workflow and production.

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications.

  • Proactively handle delays and technical challenges; ensure accurate setting out and planning.

  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and resource optimisation.

Essential Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent on water or energy civil engineering projects.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.

  • Valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Willingness to travel as needed across Central Scotland.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Roads and Street Works certification.

  • First Aid at Work qualification.

  • Previous involvement with Scottish Water frameworks is highly advantageous.
