At the Kirkhaven Project, we work with homeless men and women aged 18-65 who have experienced mental health issues, substance dependency or challenging behaviours.

Some days will be active and others more reflective. But every day will mean something.

What you’ll be doing Supporting daily routines, structure and wellbeing Helping people build confidence, independence and new habits Offering a listening ear and a grounded presence Working alongside others to deliver consistent support Keeping clear and respectful records

You’ll bring

  • A respectful, inclusive approach to care
  • Willingness to get involved and learn as you go
  • Good people skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • An SVQ Level 2 (or commitment to start training towards Level 3)

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
