Red Sky are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join a growing team at Glasgow Airport. Working as a mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing of all ground equipment airside. You must ensure all GSE (Ground Service Equipment) is maintained to a high level. Full training given , you must have at least 3 years recent GSE or HGV or Light vehicle mechanical knowledge

Vehicle Mechanic/ Vehicle Technician Responsibilities and Duties
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE Equipment, towing tractors, Aircraft tugs, baggage elevators and other specialised airport vehicle
- Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
- Providing a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- A clear understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Liaise with internal customers.
- Assist in carrying out all vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and
- Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules
Vehicle Mechanic /Vehicle Technician Package
- Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 or 08:00-16:30, with an on-call roster
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Overtime Rate: 1.55x
- Pay- £37,920- £42,000
- Enhanced overtime rates at time & a half
Vehicle Mechanic /Vehicle Technician About you
- GSE experience (desirable)
- GSE or HGV or Light vehicle mechanical knowledge
- Minimum Level 3 City & Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (required)
- 5-year checkable history to get an airside pass
- Valid UK driving license
- Able to pass a basic criminal record check.
