Quality Engineer

Location: Fife
Contract: 13-week Temp-to-Perm

First Achieve Engineering Recruitment agency are actively seeking an experienced quality engineer to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing company based in Fife. This role is offered on a 13-week temp-to-perm basis, providing an excellent pathway to a permanent position within a highly regulated and forward-thinking environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across manufacturing operations, ensuring full compliance with aerospace regulations and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001 and relevant aerospace standards
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Assist with supplier quality management where required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a high volume manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality systems
  • Experience with FAIRs, NCRs, CAPA and root cause analysis tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
