About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced FLT Combi Lift or Sideloader Operator to join a well-established metal manufacturing company in Glossop. This physically demanding role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced factory environment and is confident working with metal products and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with general factory tasks, including collating orders of metal products to meet customer requirements.
Operating forklift trucks, combi lifts, sideloaders, cranes, and overhead lifting gear to load and unload wagons safely and efficiently.
Handling metal products, including cutting, measuring, and preparing items for dispatch.
Ensuring stock is stored safely, maintaining a well-organised warehouse environment.
Conducting routine inspections of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborating with the production team to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, especially concerning metal handling and warehouse protocols.
Requirements
Valid FLT Combi Lift or Sideloader licence.
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, ideally with metal products.
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
