This is your chance to provide support and encouragement to young people, helping them grow, develop, and reach their full potential!

As a support worker, you'll be at the heart of helping young individuals enjoy life to the fullest, whether that's within the service or out in the community. If you're compassionate, patient, and driven to make a difference, this could be the role for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting Daily Activities: You'll help young people engage in a wide range of activities, both inside the service and in the community, to promote their independence, fun, and development.

• Building Positive Relationships: Use your excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills to connect with and understand the young people in your care, helping them feel safe and valued.

• De-escalating Challenging Situations: With your calm and patient approach, you'll successfully handle and de-escalate any challenging situations to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

To succeed in this rewarding role, we're looking for someone who:

• Has Excellent Communication Skills: Both verbal and non-verbal communication are key to building trust and connecting with young people.

• Understands Specific Conditions: A good understanding of conditions such as Autism, developmental delays, and physical disabilities - and the emotional impact these can have on children and families.

• Can Handle Challenging Situations: You'll need to stay calm under pressure and use your de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations effectively.

• Has Personal Care Experience: You should be comfortable supporting personal care needs with sensitivity and respect.

• Has a Fully Enhanced Child and Adult DBS: Or is willing to fund one if necessary.

• Is a Driver (Preferred): Access to your own vehicle is advantageous due to the location of the services.
