Quality Engineer opportunity available with a sub contract engineering company in Gloucester, GL3, paying c40,000, working straight days

As a result of a healthy order book our client is looking for an additional Quality Engineer to join their team. Supporting customers across a broad range of industries such as aerospace and oil and gas to name but two, they have a built a reputation with their customers for providing high quality products.

As Quality Engineer for our client your role will involve the following:

  • perform all 1st off inspections
  • carry out First Article Inspection Reports
  • have experience of using CMM alongside conventional measuring equipment
  • carry out in-process inspection alongside final inspection
  • liaise with customers with any issues that need resolving
  • be responsible for quality assurance
  • have a good understanding of aerospace procedures and quality issues
  • have a general knowledge of common plating processes
  • calibrate all measuring equipment
  • use MRP system on a daily basis
  • carry out all corrective actions
  • organise all necessary paperwork for dispatch

For your application for the role of Quality Engineer to be successful you will need the following:

  • recognised relevant qualification or time served apprenticeship
  • excellent problem solving skills with the ability to innovate
  • strong working experience gained with manufacturing/engineering
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 - 4:00 Friday 7:30 - 3:00 with paid overtime available

Holiday entitlement: 33 days including bank holidays
