We are recruiting for an Production Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be involved in building, joining, and finishing models of varying size and complexity, produced using laser machines.

Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative:

  • Creating build packs
  • Hand-finishing, blasting, and joining models to the required standards
  • Breaking out modelsand re-powdering machines when required
  • Post-processing work such as dyeing and vapour fusing
  • Reading and understanding written work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Using measuring equipment such as Verniers
  • Applying an analytical approach to problem-solving and engineering challenges
  • Supporting weekend machine changeovers on a team rota basis

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment
  • Good IT literacy, ideally with some familiarity with CAD viewing software
  • Good hand-to-eye coordination and dexterity
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
