Purpose of the Role:

The HR Business Partner will support and enable the business, line managers, and employees across all aspects of HR. While based in Gloucester, the role involves regular travel to other sites to provide hands-on support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and support managers in performance management and team development.
  • Guide leadership on employee development, including working with external L&D providers.
  • Lead talent and succession planning initiatives using strategic workforce planning.
  • Advise on benefits, remuneration, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Drive HR projects and implement best practices across the employee lifecycle.
  • Deliver training and ensure compliance with HR processes and legislation.
  • Produce regular HR reports and provide insights into workforce trends.
  • Mentor colleagues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, changes to terms, and leavers.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Support recruitment activities and manage relationships with external HR suppliers.
  • Oversee onboarding, induction, and benefits enrolment for new starters.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • CIPD qualified (essential); HRM degree and coaching experience (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and generalist HR practices.
  • Experience across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
