Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Multidrop Driver + Nights out
Location: Gloucester
Shift Pattern: 5:30 / 06:00am starts Monday to Friday + nights out. 8 hours guaranteed per day
Pay Rate: 14.89 per hour + 22.33 Overtime (after 8 hours) + 25 allowance for nights out.
Contract Type: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 driver for a busy multi-drop role. The role is simple, you will be delivering internal doors to our customers, which include building sites and builders' merchants. This role involves frequent deliveries around Gloucester and the surrounding areas, so candidates must be comfortable with driving outside of the local area aswell as carrying out multiple drop-offs.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services, offering a range of solutions including drayage, global freight forwarding, and full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and collaborates with customers to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all goods are strapped and secure before leaving any sites.
• 8-12 drops per day delivering internal doors across Gloucester and the surrounding area.
• Ensure paperwork is collected and signed as required.
• Unloading the vehicle either by handballing or sack barrows whenever a customer is unable to from their side - all vehicles will be loaded for you.
• Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all standard safety checks are carried out and adhere to safety protocols and company standards while operating the vehicle.
• Will be required to carry out nights out up to 3 times per week which will include a 25 allowance for each one carried out.

Requirements:

• Full HGV class 2 UK Driving Licence
• You will need to pass a half day assessment & induction to carry out this assignment.
• Previous multi-drop driving experience is ideal though not
• Manual Handling will be required at times.
• No more than six penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements).
• Strong knowledge of the UK road network, particularly London.
