A well established ground investigation contractor based in Gloucester are seeking a driven and experienced geotechnical site engineer to join their expanding team. With countless awards demonstrating their reputation in the industry and an expanding, inclusive and specialist team to work amongst, this contractor is fully equipped to support a geotechnical engineer in the next stage of their career.

The Geotechnical Site Engineer selected will be provided with:

This Geotechnical Site Engineer position requires focussed work on a variety of projects. You'll be carrying out borehole logging, soil sampling, trail pitting, supervising drilling rigs, training junior team members and writing factual reports. Client liaison and supporting junior members of the team will also be required.

The successful Geotechnical Site Engineer will:

  • Have a degree in geotechnical engineering, applied geology, environmental science, earth sciences, physical geography or a similar/relevant subject.
  • Have experience as a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer.
  • Have exceptional communication skills, ideally with experience leading a team and/or supervising junior members.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Be commutable to the Gloucester area.
  • Have a full right to work in the UK.
